Some homes have a story to tell, and this beautiful old home has a history as unique as Nimbin itself.
Lovingly renovated over the years, this charming 3 bedroom home has retained its original character while embracing modern living. High ceilings, hardwood lining boards, polished timber floors, original French doors and traditional casement windows all reflect the craftsmanship of a bygone era.
A welcoming south-facing front porch provides a cool retreat during the warmer months and leads into the spacious living area. Here, a combustion wood heater creates a cosy atmosphere in winter, while reverse-cycle air conditioning ensures comfort throughout the seasons. French doors open onto the front porch, allowing natural light and fresh breezes.
The large separate dining room is filled with natural light from the north and west, with a convenient servery connecting it to the kitchen.
Positioned along the northern side of the home, the kitchen is a lovely space overlooking the garden, with views extending to Blue Knob and the Border Ranges through its antique casement windows. The warm winter sunshine streams in, bringing light and warmth into the heart of the home. A covered rear verandah/deck extends from the kitchen, a lovely place to enjoy a morning cuppa, unwind in the afternoon or entertain friends in any season.
Three generously proportioned bedrooms are positioned along the eastern side of the home. The bedrooms are carpeted, with the middle bedroom also featuring air conditioning. A practical bathroom offers a shower, bath, vanity and toilet, with a separate laundry.
Step outside and enjoy the relaxed pace of village life. Nimbin’s unique character, creative spirit and spectacular natural surrounds are all part of the appeal. A pleasant walk into town takes you past breath-taking views of the surrounding ranges, with the free swimming pool, bowling club and skate park conveniently along the way.
Once in the village, you’ll discover an eclectic collection of cafés, eateries, galleries, local shops and markets, all woven into a vibrant community. Schools, the hospital, medical centre and public transport are also nearby.
Rich in history and full of warmth, this is a home that offers far more than four walls. It offers a connection to Nimbin’s past, a comfortable place to enjoy the present and an opportunity to become part of one of New South Wales’ most distinctive and picturesque villages.
